Rural Health Care Failure

1 comment:

  1. IHA and the Ministry of Health don't care about rural area health care. Unless they are "motivated" they will do nothing except make promises. Perhaps this family should look into a lawsuit against the IHA and the Ministry. That might provide some "motivation" to get the two government bodies to stand up and pay attention.

As for the HART team - I don't know why they are posted in Penticton. Penticton has a hospital and great health care. The HART team should be permanently located in PRINCETON. This is where they are needed. To have to wait hours for them to arrive is unacceptable. You don't place an emergency medical vehicle in a city that already has emergency medical care!

I am so glad the outcome of this medical emergency was good, but as the woman said, it was an act of God that it turned out the way it did. The next time (and there will be a next time) the outcome might not be as good. Shame on IHA and the Ministry of Health. We have to STOP listening to their lame, empty promises.
