A hospital is defined as "an institution providing medical and surgical treatment and nursing care for sick or injured people."
Here's one person's story...
After my husband suffered cardiac arrest in our driveway on December 30, 2011, 911 was called. It took the ambulance 45-minutes to travel the 19-kilometres to our home. Our home defibrillator and neighbours saved my husband's life. He was stabilized at Princeton hospital and transported to Penticton hospital (and later flown to Vancouver hospital). If the Princeton ER was closed, my husband would not have survived the trip to Penticton. Princeton hospital closures are not acceptable and people will die. Keep our hospital emergency room open 24/7!
